Republic Day Speech

Good morning to everyone who is present over also on the prosperous occasion of republic day. Republic day is celebrated every time on the 26th of January, this time India will celebrate its 72nd Republic Day. Republic day is celebrated to flashback to the major moment when our nation became an independent republic country.

As we all know that India got its independence on 15th August 1947 and the country didn’t have its own constitution, rather India was governed by the laws executed by the British. Still latterly multitudinous reflections and amendments, a commission headed by Dre. B. R Ambedkar submitted a draft of the Indian constitution, which was espoused on 26th November 1949 and officially came into effect on 26 January 1950.

On this day, Dr. Rajendra Prasad started his term and responsibilities as the first President of India. And the Constituent Assembly came to the Parliament of India under the provisions of the Constitution. Ever since Independence, the main festivity of Republic day has been held at the public capital, New Delhi at the Rajpath in the presence of the President, Prime minister, and other high-ranking officers of India. As a homage to India, on republic day conventional processions take place at the Rajpath.

After the conventional parade, there is the presence of various dignitaries like the President, Prime minister, and other advanced government officers at the Rajpath. Every time as a part of fests, India has been hosting guests of honour, which could be the head of the state or government of other countries for republic day festivity at the capital. This has been the case since 1950, for illustration on 26 January 2015 the former chairman of the united countries of America Barack Obama was the guest of honour on democracy day. Plaintively due to the covid outbreak, there won’t be any guest of honour for the 72nd republic day celebration.

The flag hoisting form at the Rajpath in the public capital takes place mainly at 8. Am which is followed by a Republic day speech by the President and a patriotic day parade. The March done on Republic day is considered to be an eye-catching element.

This is viewed by everyone at the festival, and it showcases the Indian cultural and social heritage of the country. It also showcases the Indian Defence Capability. Nine to twelve different paratroops of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, accompanied by their bands, march in all their sanctioned decorations. The salutation is done by the President of India, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces.

On this prestigious occasion the icons of our country, the dogfaces are not forgotten. Prestigious awards will be given away to the killers and the icons who have devoted their lives to covering the country at any cost. Republic day is celebrated in every academy, council, and office with great enthusiasm and energy. In seminaries, various competitions are held which include dancing, singing, and giving a democracy day speech.

But beyond it all, the constitution declares that India is an independent, socialist, temporal, and popular republic. It assures its citizen’s justice, equivalency, liberty, and fraternity. It additionally provides the rights and duties to all citizens.

On this Republic Day, I hope that no matter who we are, rich or poor, an important politician or a regular citizen, we continue to respect these introductory principles and values given to us by our respected constitution. So that, as we move forward and continue to make this nation, we do not leave behind the foundation on which our country is erected.

I want to end this speech by saying that India is a popular country. The citizens living in a popular country enjoy the honour to opt for their leader to lead the country. Although we have seen a lot of profitable advancements and success as a country, we still have multitudinous hurdles in our paths, analogous to poverty, unemployment, pollution, and the last two times-COVID.

It’s our duty as citizens to face these challenges and come out stronger on the other side. So one thing we all can do is promise each other that we will come up with a better interpretation of ourselves so that we could contribute to solving all these problems and making our nation a better place. Thank you, Jai Hind.
