What is this Masterclass about?

In this highly engaging and interactive masterclass, students play the role of important ministers from the G20 countries and have a discussion on the effects of Cyber Bullying, come out with suggestions on how to curb it and how are they going to implement the suggestions. Once they go back home, they will also hold a mock press conference to inform their people about the Summit and its outcome and it will affect their country.

What are the highlights of this Masterclass?

The session will have students role-playing as leaders of various countries who have come together to discuss a crisis. They will be required to make a communique at the end of the session, summarizing the discussion and the solutions. They will also have to give a mock press meet recording the key points of the discussion and encouraging citizens to come forward and play an equal role in controlling cyberbullying.

What are the key takeaways?

The students learn about G20 and how different countries come together to address important issues and work together in the well being and progress of the countries. This is done by teaching students to role-play where each of them plays the role of different countries’ heads.

How do I prepare for this Masterclass?

The student has to do some research on what is Cyber Bullying, the effect it has on the victims and steps/security measures taken to prevent this from happening, how are different countries addressing this issue, etc. This will enrich the discussion in the class and bring out meaningful solutions. They must also make sure to bring a paper and a pen.

Students are also required to view this video before coming to class to make the discussion more engaging.
